Meet Shikha Patel

Shikha Patel (she/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Trauma Therapist, Ecotherapist and is the founder of Collaborative InSights. Shikha specializes in working with adults who are seeking trauma recovery, somatic healing, and connection to nature through Ecotherapy.

Shikha’s passion for bridging trauma recovery, culture, and nature are present in her therapeutic practice.

Her identity is rooted in being a South Asian woman and she offers a nonjudgmental space for those who seek safety in processing cultural challenges. She advocates for the decolonization of mental health and returning healing practices to people and the land.

Mission & Vision

Collaborative InSights’ mission is to provide clinical and holistic services both virtually and in person. Through a person-centered and anti-oppressive approach, I offer various services including individual therapy, group therapy, and ecotherapy. I collaborate with organizations and members of our community to build connections that help and heal.

My vision is to foster a diverse community in which all people are attended to. I strive to work towards a more racially, socially, and overall culturally just society in which ideas of Eurocentric and Western interventions are challenged. Through our joint efforts, it is my intention to integrate culturally traditional, holistic approaches into the treatment of mental health as a profession.
