Shikha Patel, MSW, LCSW

Founder, Trauma Therapist, Ecotherapist

Shikha Patel (she/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Trauma Therapist, Ecotherapist and is the founder of Collaborative InSights, LLC. Shikha specializes in working with adults who are seeking trauma recovery, somatic healing, and connection to nature through Ecotherapy.

Shikha has extensive experience in non-profit program development and she developed her clinical competence while working in University of Pennsylvania’s behavioral health and trauma programs. She teaches graduate courses at Rutgers University School of Social Work and specializes in the teaching of social work with immigrants and refugees. She is trained in EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Ecotherapy.

Her passion exists in fostering human connection and developing authentic and empowered relationships. Shikha integrates the understanding of neuropsychology, trauma, and tapping into ancestral knowledge of healing.

 Shikha’s passion for bridging trauma recovery, culture, and nature are present in her therapeutic practice.  

Her identity is rooted in being a first-generation South Asian woman and she offers a nonjudgmental space for those who seek safety in processing cultural challenges. She advocates for the decolonization of mental health and returning healing practices to people and the land.

Anna Marchese, MSW, LCSW, YT-200

Mental Health Therapist, Yoga Teacher, Reiki Master

Anna Marchese (she/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Reiki Master, Yoga Teacher (YT-200) and offers mental health and therapeutic services at Collaborative InSights, LLC. Anna specializes in working with adults who experience mood disorders and has a passion for working with caregivers as well as prenatal and postpartum mothers.

Prior to joining Collaborative InSights, Anna has worked in various roles within the social work and human services fields. She has cultivated her clinical skills through leadership in community mental health programs and she specifically aided in establishing the first Coordinated Specialty Care Service in North Jersey.

Ten months after becoming a mom of 2, Anna completed coursework and training in Perinatal Mood Disorders.  She is currently obtaining her Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C).  

She is more than a social worker and therapist, she specializes in Reiki healing and teaching yoga.  Anna believes that the practices of restorative yoga, meditation, breath work, and energetic healing can accelerate mental health and trauma recovery.

Anna’s commitment to ongoing education of community and culture, recognizing privilege and oppression, and advocacy for marginalized populations are integral to her work with others. She values the safety of human experience and vulnerability in a safe space.

Weston McNeely, BSW

Clinical MSW Intern, UNCC School of Social Work

Weston McNeely (he/they), BSW, is a Master of Social Work intern from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He has always called Charlotte home and enjoys giving back to his community. Weston takes a cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic approach to his clinical work. Critical theory is a core component of Weston’s work, as he aims to dismantle both individual and structural forms of oppression.

Weston is advancing his clinical expertise in working with adults struggling with anxiety and panic disorders as well as other mood disorders. He supports the mental health and recovery of the LGBTQ+ community and other marginalized populations.
