For centuries, our ancestors and our people have turned to the Earth , the body and energy as a healing entity. The force of nature has been powerful enough to transform physical and mental health issues and is a medicine that many of us benefit from.

At Collaborative InSights, we provide the following holistic services:

Ecotherapy is an experiential process in which an individual becomes immersed in a natural environment as a way to alleviate and heal the symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, and stress. Ecotherapy goes beyond “a walk in the woods”, it is an opportunity to realign with land, spirit, body and nature with the guidance of a licensed psychotherapist.  Learn more about our ecotherapy services.

Yoga is the practice of breath control, meditation and physical postures to unify our mind, body and spirit. The goal is to learn to control the senses in order to better control the mind and free ourselves from emotional and physical suffering. Yoga originates from ancient India with roots in Hinduism. We offer Yoga as an approach for clients to focus on where they feel emotions in their body. We recommend and teach certain poses to complement the therapeutic work you are doing. You may be guided to incorporate meditations and breathwork into therapy sessions as well.

Reiki is an energetic healing modality. It enhances and complements the healing work done in therapy. While traditional talk therapy addresses what we are consciously aware of, Reiki taps into the subconscious to help energy flow more easily and restore balance to the mind and body. It can be done in person but is just as effective when done from a distance (virtually). Adding Reiki to a therapy session can help to identify and clear energetic blockages that often manifest as physical or emotional symptoms. Reiki originates from Japan with loose ties to Buddhism though it isn’t affiliated with any specific religion. Learn more about our reiki services and offerings.

Mindfulness is the practice of bringing conscious awareness to our sense of being. Mindfulness offers versatility in it’s practices, ranging from breath and movement to everyday life skills. Integration of mindfulness in mental health recovery has immense benefits proven by neurological research. We integrate the use of mindfulness through all of our services.

We acknowledge the land we gather on is land that has been inhabited by Native Indians, Indigenous people, and other people of color and culture who have turned to this land for survival, to create home, and to sow the seeds of what we are experiencing today. We acknowledge India, Japan and other cultures when engaging in Yoga, Reiki and mindfulness practices.

In our offerings, we hope to honor the cultures and traditions of those
 who have come before us.  Through our holistic services, we hope to learn and advocate for reclamation of land, nature, and healing practices.
