Shikha Patel, MSW, LCSW

Shikha Patel (she/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Trauma Therapist, Ecotherapist and is the founder of Collaborative InSights, LLC. Shikha specializes in working with adults who are seeking trauma recovery, somatic healing, and connection to nature through Ecotherapy. Shikha has extensive experience in non-profit program development and she developed her clinical competence while working in University of Pennsylvania’s behavioral health and trauma programs. She teaches graduate courses at Rutgers University School of Social Work and specializes in the teaching of social work with immigrants and refugees. She is trained in EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Ecotherapy. Her passion exists in fostering human connection and developing authentic and empowered relationships. Shikha integrates the understanding of neuropsychology, trauma, and tapping into ancestral knowledge of healing. Shikha’s passion for bridging trauma recovery, culture, and nature are present in her therapeutic practice. Her identity is rooted in being a first-generation South Asian woman and she offers a nonjudgmental space for those who seek safety in processing cultural challenges. She advocates for the decolonization of mental health and returning healing practices to people and the land.

Charity Matlock (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Charity extends a warm welcome to individuals seeking personalized therapy at Collaborative InSights. Specializing in supporting adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, and trauma, as well as LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities, Charity's approach is both empathetic and empowering. Drawing from a toolkit of evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing that are informed by Multicultural and Feminist perspectives, Charity intertwines her expertise with Polyvagal Theory, Trauma-Conscious Yoga, and Somatic Psychotherapy Practices. But therapy isn't just about techniques—it's about building trust, safety, and fostering comfort and understanding. Together, Charity and her clients embark on a journey of transformation, empowering individuals to embrace a healthier, more fulfilling, and self-directed life. Charity finds joy in witnessing individuals not only heal but thrive, embracing change and discovering newfound happiness and mental wellness along the way. Natasha understands that, as a person of color, discussing emotions and feelings may not have always been encouraged. She completely agrees—being vulnerable can be difficult and even scary. It might feel confusing to be in a position where seeking therapy feels necessary. That's perfectly okay, and she is here to help navigate through these layers of emotions and experiences.

Natasha is a Nationally Accredited, Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive experience working with adults and adolescents. Her expertise includes anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, co-occurring substance use issues, life transitions, grief, and relationship challenges.She is trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy and Brainspotting Phase 1. Her approach is client-centered and strength-based, incorporating other therapeutic modalities when appropriate.

As a first-generation South Asian, she understands cultural differences, family dynamics, and the impact of unresolved trauma.Cultural and generational traumas might have been normalized or brushed aside during one's upbringing. Therapy can be a powerful step toward addressing and healing these issues. Her goal is to provide a non-judgmental, comfortable environment where progress happens at the client's pace, allowing trust to build naturally.
