What: Decolonizing Therapy Book Club
Who: Hosts are Dr. Gene Edwards, Nicole Madonna, LCSW, and Collaborative InSights’ Anna Marchese, LCSW.
This book club is open to North Carolina therapists, social workers, and counselors
Where: Virtual meetings via Zoom with potential for future in-person meetings
When: 2nd Tuesday of the Month, starting March 12th at 6pm
Why: Therapists usually go into mental health work to help people. But the systems we’re working in have foundations in oppressive practices. This book club is meant to build community among clinicians who want to disrupt rather than perpetuate these oppressive practices. We know we can do better and it starts with looking inward, together!
